Designer We Love: Lindsey Adelman

Lindsey Adelman, from Lindsey Adelman Studio of New York City, creates beautiful and functional pieces of art for the home.

She utilizes wire, wood, fabric, ceramic and hammered metal to juxtapose light and shadow in her new Branching Lighting system, which previewed at the 2012 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City.   Sconces, colorful finishes and new accessories all reflect her elegant, modern and distinct style.  Adelman has focused on her own line of hand-blown glass lighting as well as an ongoing series of drawings painstakingly crafted with strands of human hair.  The collective work has been included in the Cooper-Hewitt Design Triennial and Design Miami and has received awards from the ICFF Editors, ID, and Blueprint. It has been published in numerous magazines and books.
